Induced currents in metallic cable coating of medium voltage lines
Abstract
The research results of voltages and currents induced in metallic cables coatings by their core load currents have been presented. The studies have been conducted for single core polyethylene insulated medium voltage cables. Such cables are used for three-phase cablelines in power systems. It has been stated that the recorded results of currents and voltages depend heavily on a cable configuration in apower line. Some practical suggestions useful while designing and using cable lines have been proposed.
