Abstract
Paper discusses the potential of power electronics (PE) arrangements in Smart Grid applications. Solutions presented throughout the paper deliver arguments for broader use of the PE and further research to improve the current solutions. Industrial solutions or prototypes applicable to power electronics demonstrate the potential of Polish R&D units.
