Lightning damage risk management and other novelties introduced in the standards of PN-EN 62305 series
Abstract
The basic tasks of the lightning protection system are to take over and discharge to the ground the lightning current without damage to the protected object, equipment installed in it and in a safe way for the people staying inside. The regulations concerning decisions about where lightning protection system is necessary and new requirements for protection against the lightning threats introduced in the standards of PN-EN 62305 series have been presented in that paper.
