Mathematical Model of a Multiphase Matrix Converter Using Symmetrical Components
dr hab. inż. Jerzy SZCZEPANIAK, dr inż. Tomasz SIEŃKO
Abstract
The control procedures researched in this work are applied to Multiphase Matrix Converter (MMC) and the MMC considered in this paper is applied in the power system as a new kind of FACTS device. This application of MMC and analysis of their work in power systems requires the development of frequency domain models of MMC working under the proposed control. Such models allow us to obtain an analytic solution for device behaviour and explanation of unexpected phenomena observed during simulations and real performance (real life models).
