Constructive Comments on the IEEE Standard 1459-2010 for the Definitions Used in Single-phase Electric Circuits with Sinusoidal Waveforms

Abstract

A discussion on the definitions of electric power used in single-phase electric circuits with sinusoidal waveforms stored in the IEEE Standard 1459-2010 has been presented in the paper. The structure of the paper is such that firstly a critical comment is given relating to a specific record of the standard, then a proposition is given which, in the author's opinion, should be included in the standard and finally clarification and discussion of the proposed notation have been submitted.
