Death while using the stationary phone during the thunderstorm

Abstract

This paper presents the case of a fatal electric shock of a man who was using a stationary phone during a thunderstorm. It discusses the main hazards for people touching the telecom devices in the network of the overhead telecommunication lines which result from lightning. The basic rules of the electric shock protection are introduced.
