Stopping, Emergency Stopping and Disconnecting Machines from Electricity

Abstract
The work highlights one of the most important aspects of machinery safety, which is stopping. Due to their specificity, the Machinery Directive distinguishes two stopping modes: normal (technological) and emergency, and separate disconnection from the power supply. There are functional dependencies between them, and each of them has specific features that must be known to the designer of each machine in order to meet the essential safety requirements
