Abstract
This paper discusses two kinds of electromagnetic disturbances: voltage dips and short interruptions in the power supply. Their origin, effects, possible ways of reduction , and measuring methods which are necessary for the formulation of the contract between the supplier and purchaser of electricity have been discussed.
